1. It's not like that.這句話是用來闢謠的。當別人誤會了一件事的來龍去脈，你就可以跟
他說It's not like that.「不是那樣的。」當然隨著語氣及情境的不同，It's not like
that.這句話也有可能是你用來硬拗的藉口。
2. There is nothing good playing. 沒好電影可看
這裡的There's nothing good playing.是接著問句而來的，指的是「沒有好電影可看。」
同樣的，若是電視上沒有好節目可看，你就可以說There's nothing good on TV.
3. I've gotten carried away. 我扯太遠了。
get carried away字面上的意思是「被帶走了」，那麼被帶走的是什麼呢？就是心思。當你
或是他人說話的時候離了題，偏離主旨扯遠了。你就可以用上這個表達法I've / You've
gotten carried away.
4. Good thing... 還好，幸好...
在美語當中若要表達中文裡「還好，幸好...」的語氣，你就可以用Good thing...做開頭。
這個句型非常簡單又好用，你只要在Good thing後面加上完整的句子就可以。
5. I don't believe you're bringing this up. 你現在提這件事真是豈有此理
你現在提這件事真是豈有此理bring something up是指「提到（某件事）」。當然情況會有
正反兩面。你若沒想到對方會提起這件事討罵，你可以說I don't believe you're
bringing this up.。而反過來說，若你很高興對方主動提起了一件事，你也可以用這個片
語，自然說出I am glad you are bringing this up.
6. spy on... 跟監（某人）
spy這個字就是「間諜」。當動詞用的意思自然就是「做間諜做的事」，也就是「****，跟
蹤」之意。當你要去****跟蹤某人，美語中就??簾未視鍔spy on someone。

只不過是天時地利而已。
大多數的人想到幸運，都會直覺反應 lucky，但其實 lucky 有很多種表示法。像有一次我問老美怎麼追到這麼一個如花似玉的女朋友，他回答我，"Just right place, right time." 我一聽就立刻聯想到了中文裡的，「天時地利人和」這句話，沒想到英語裡就這麼簡單，"Right place, right time." 就解決了。(或許應該再加上 right girl?) 所以我也開始不是隻會說，"I'm just lucky." 了。例如後來有一次老美問我為什麼我有免費的 T 恤可拿，我就很瀟灑地回答他，"Just right place, right time, no big deal." (只不過時間地點剛好對了而已，沒什麼大不了的。) 事後想起來，連自己都覺得很得意自己會這樣回答。

我想當大家看到中文「我也是」的時候，百分之九十九的人 "me too." 會立刻脫口而出。甚至有些人還會說， "So do I." 但是說真的，老美是會說，"me too." 和 "So do I." 沒錯，但好象太平常了一點，(大概是因為這些用法我上國中的時候就知道了吧！)
我覺得比較酷一點的講法應該是，"same here." 它完完全全就等於 "me too." 例如上網聊天最後大家常會說，"All right. I have to go to bed now." (好吧，我該去睡覺了。) 這時對方就可以回答，"same here." 表示我也該睡覺了。另外 ditto 這個用法也流行過好一陣子。它的意思是，「同上」當然也就等於 "me too" 的意思啦。 例如最有名的例子，在第六感生死戀 (Ghost) 裡，Demi Moore 和 Patrick Swayze 的對話，"I love you." "Ditto."

1、"我請客"：覺得我們常用pay這個詞，如Let me pay it for you。這裡列舉三種說法：I am buying；This is on me；This is all my bill。
2、one-time thing：帥哥跟一美女過了一夜，回來後室友問帥哥：Do you really love her？帥哥回答：Oh, it was just a one-time thing!那麼one-time thing是什麼呢？我就不羅嗦嘍！
3、"向前看！"：我們會說Look forward！而美語裡有個更貼切的說法是Eyes front！"眼睛朝前"，是不是很生動？
4、"頭等大事"：你會怎麼翻譯呢？The most important thing嗎？看這個吧"It's on the top of my list"。
5、"停電"：No electricity？恩，夠直白！其實提到"電"，老外更多是用power，停電就可以是Ther is a power failure或Power goes out。
6、"我不是傻子！"：I am not a fool？對，語法完全正確。但再看這個I am no fool。比上面的只少兩個字母，但是不是感覺不一樣？同樣的道理，我們常說I have no idea，而不常說I dont have any idea。
7、short hairs：是說"短頭髮"嗎？呵呵，它就是我們說的"小辮子"！
8、"收買某人"：有個比較正式的詞叫bribe，名詞時為"賄賂"的意思，動詞時就有"收買"之意。既然提到了"買"，那麼我們能不能用上buy呢？當然，那就是buy sb off。
9、She knew red was her color。"她知道紅色是她的顏色"？恰當的翻譯是：她知道自己和紅色很相配。Then, what's your color？
10、"看在主的份上，你就......"：兩種說法，其一是For the love of God，另外For God's sake(sake的意思是緣故、關係)二者之中，後者更常用。
