Mrs. Smith’s kitchen is small.

史密斯夫人的廚房很小。

There is a refrigerator in the kitchen.

廚房裡有個冰箱。

The refrigerator is white.

冰箱的顏色是白的。

It is on the right.

它位於房間的右邊。

There is an electric cooker in the kitchen.

廚房裡有個電灶。

The cooker is blue.

電灶的顏色是藍色的。

It is on the left.

它位於房間的左邊。

There is a table in the middle of the room.

房間的中央有張桌子。

There is a bottle on the table.

桌子上有個瓶子。

The bottle is empty.

瓶子是空的。

There is a cup on the table, too.

桌子上還有一隻杯子。

The cup is clean.

杯子很乾淨。

【詞彙拓展】

冰箱這個單詞很長

我們可以記一個相對簡單的

fridge [frɪdʒ] n. 電冰箱

另外，一些小夥伴會認為cooker是廚師

實際上廚師的英文是cook

cooker是表示我們用來烹飪的廚灶和炊具

He is a cook.

他是一位廚師。

The cooker is electric.

炊具是電的。

on the right 在右邊

on the left 在左邊

in the middle of... 在...中間

【語法】

“there be” 句型

通常用來表示“某地有某物”

句子結構為：

There is/are + 某物+某地

一、當某物是單數或不可數時，前面用is，如：

There is a bottle on the table.

桌子上有一個瓶子。

There is water in the bottle.

瓶子裡有水。

二、當“某物”為複數時，前面用are，如：

There are bottles on the table.

桌子上有一些瓶子。

There are chairs in the classroom.

教室裡有一些椅子。
